In an interview with a leading tablod Namrata admitted that Sanju did send her a text message on February 11 inviting her to the wedding.
She also denies the stories doing rounds about her dislike for Manyata.
"I am not Sanju's mother, she says. "Manayata and he have been living together for the past year under the same roof. If we have accepted them living under the same roof, why should we have any problems ever?"
"I spent this New Year's Eve at Sanju's home, celebrating it with him, Manayata and some friends. How does it mean then that we haven't accepted her? These are false stories," she adds.
Namrata, confirmed that Sanjay Dutt's daughter Trishala, who has never lived with Sanjay Dutt, was upset that her father did not inform her about the wedding.
"Being his daughter, I don't understand why Sanju or Manayata did not pick up the phone once to inform her. That was very bad," Namrata says.
The news came as a shock for Trishala who was woken up at 3 am by a TV reporter who asked her to comment on the wedding.
A source close to the Dutt family teslls that Sanju wasn't concerned about her reaction. He was more worried about her talking to the media. He forbade her to talk to the press.
Trishala feels her relationship with her dad has been going steadily downhill after he got involved with Maana. She feels he has changed a lot. He barely keeps in touch with her. She has also dropped her plans to visit her Dad in December now.
But Dutts are not the only family reluctant in accepting the latest developments. We hear that even Manyata's family is also not happy with the marriage.
Manyata's maternal aunt, Nishad and uncle, Zaheer have cut off ties with her because of her association with Sanjay Dutt.
Although Zaheer was unavailable for comment, his son Zayyed told a local tabloid, "Our family has disowned Manyata. She is only in touch with her mother. Her father is no more. Manyata is very much from Mumbai and not from Dubai as the media reports claim."
"Before she got together with Sanjay, things were far different. We were a family and she used to visit us often. We didn't even attend Sanjay and Manyata's wedding as we weren't invited. We have no connections with her now," he added.
