Q-From actress to director, you have come a long way...
A-I always wanted to do something creative and my creativity got its vent as an actress. Today, I am very happy being a director. After doing courses in cinematography, direction etc, I went on to direct my videos.
Q-Is it film direction, next?
A-My aspiration is to direct a film. There are very few women directors and I am looking at carving my own individual niche.
It will be a sensitive film and I can't say much about it at this stage. Currently, I am working on my next album, but it is still in the working stages.
Q-How is work on Karz going?
A-On Karz, there was a lot to do. I have been working on the film as I do with all T-Series products. From scripting to the pre-shoot stage, I have been taking care of things. And I like the way the story has shaped up.
There is a lot we have done to the film. The story is to be seen to be believed, and I can't put the happenings in words. It is the picturisation that would make the vital difference.
Q-Tell us about Kajra Re for which you are shooting in Jordan...
A-Kajra Re will be shot in the picturesque locations of Jordan. The story is set there and hence, shooting there was very important.
We are shooting in the city that has been unearthed only recently. It is a virgin locale and most apt for the film. There is a lot of co-ordination etc to be done and I am at it.
Q-How has the experience been?
A-It is not an easy task, yes. But I enjoy every bit of it. What is life without its challenges?
Q-How much is Bhushan helpful in fulfilling your ambitions?
A-Bhushan is my backbone. He is with me in everything I do. I share everything with him and he guides me.
And his guidance is of great importance to me. He has achieved so much at such a young age that I learn so much from his experience. He is my inspiration.
Q-Do you find time for family after so much work?
A-Bhushan and I do make it a point to make time for each other. Whenever we get time, we go on holidays abroad exploring locations we have never been to. He loves driving and often, we take a car and just drive on.
Q-What else does Bhushan love other than music and movies?
A-He loves cars. Yes. It has always been a passion with him. And like I said, I enjoy long drives.
