"I know it sells. But I don't like being a labeled a bad boy. I'm nothing like the wild person I'm made out to be. I've decided to keep a really low profile, just do my work and not lose my temper at any cost," vows Petel who's currently working with one of his favourites Govinda in Lucky 2.
"I've made so many good friends. Abbas-Mustan who have me my first break in 36 China Town have signed me for the film that they're producing. This will be their first production. And I'm proud to be in it.
They were directing another film with me and Sanjay Dutt. But that got stalled because of Sanjay Dutt's problems. Never mind I've enough in the kitty."
Upen is also in his mentor Suneel Darshan's next. "So what if Shaka Laka Boom didn't work? I'm a hundred percent doing his new film which starts in March. It'll be young and contemporary. But it'll also go back to the family values that Suneel is known for."
The young actor gets sentimental about his mentor. "Suneel has been like a family away from home ever since I came into the industry.I'd never say no to him for any film. He just has to ask and I'll do his film blindly.
People like Suniel Shetty, Abbas-Mustan and Suneel Darshan have given me so much love, I don't miss that other kind of love."
After a rather violent and widely-reported break-up with his girlfriend last year Upen has been single. "But never alone. There're so many people in Mumbai who take care of me. Yes, I do miss romance in my life. But love will happen when it happens. In the meanwhile there's so much work to take care of."
