The Shaurya leading man Rahul Bose calls it a "happy coincidence".
Says Rahul, "Shaurya is about discrimination. It's absolutely fantastic that Shaurya is coming alongside Khuda Kay Liye.
I wish they had come one after another so that the message would've lingered. Maybe audiences will see one and go to the other. But I'm definitely catching Khuda Kay Liye."
On Thursday night Rahul plays the consummate star at the premiere of Shaurya in Mumbai. "Ha ha. I'd play the consummate star if I was one. Since I'm a working-class actor I'll just stick to acting.
Premieres disturb me deeply. The audience has no respect for the film. It's all about the who's who. For my sanity I'll step out and chat up with my director Samar Khan.
After films are over the director and actor lose touch. It's a very important film for Samar. As for me my career is so insignificant in the larger scheme of things. Shaurya won't change me into a superstar."
Shaurya is one of the Rahul's rare films in Hindi. "But there's lots of dialogues in the English language. But I speak more Hindi than the other major characters.
This is a fairly good week to release Shaurya. Next week we'll again be sandwiched between two biggies."
