Prabhakar Shukla, the ad film maker has turned into a director with his debut film being 'Kahaani Gudiya Ki' which is based on a true story that happened in Meerut. The man stood strong in the midst of much opposition, and here he is on the threshold of the release of his film.

Here is a brief insight he shared with us about his film...

Q. What is the Kahani Gudiya Ki all about?
A. Its about one lady with two husbands and is based on a true story. There was a girl in Meerut whose husband goes to Kargil war after ten days of their marriage and she gets married to another man after a wait of four years.

When she was about to give birth to her child from her second husband, her first husband suddenly appears saying that he was in the prison of Pakistan and wants her back as he says that according to Shariyat he is still her husband as he has not given her 'talaak'.

And according to the panchayat's decision she has to go to her first husband, gives birth to the child from her second in the house of her first husband and later dies after six months. And now both the husbands have married again and the child is now lawaris. It's a very sad story.

Q. Was Divya Dutta your first choice and if not Divya whom would you have liked to cast in that role?
A. I think she is the perfect one for this role. If not her, my choice would have been Rekha.

Q. How was it working with her?
A. I really liked working with her; it was fantastic and she is fine and perfect. Without speaking she can give out the best expressions.

Q. What kind of films you would like to do in future?
A. I want to do reality cinemas with entertainment. I am also trying my hands in comedy also named 'Main Tension Mein Hoon'.

Q. Any incident that happened in the sets of Gudiya which you can remember?
A. I think while taking a shot, Divya got so much involved in the scene that she stayed in the scene even after I shouted cut.

Q. What do you have to say regarding the protests that are being made against the film?
A. There are some people who are against the release of the film as they feel that the film goes against the 'Shariyaat', but I would like to say that I have no right to make anything against the 'Shariyaat' as it is a very big thing.

The only thing I would like to say is people should first go and see the film and then decide what to do. I have not shown anything against any religion, it's a true story and I thought it was necessary for the story to be told to the world.

Q. What are the other projects you are working on?
A. I am doing a comedy film named 'Main Tension Mein Hoon', with a producer from London, half of the shoot for the film is over. Then there is one another film based on Scarlet murder case which happened in Goa recently, titled 'Rave Party'. - Sabir Rahaman
