Q. It has been some time since you last worked with Balaji Telefilms.
A. Actually, I was busy with other commitments. Once those commitments were fulfilled, I decided to come back to television.
Q. Please tell us about your character in 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii'.
A. I play Vijay Agarwal, who is an NRI from England, and is somehow connected to the Agarwal family.
Q. How does it feel to work with Balaji Telefims again?
A. 'K Street Pali Hill' was a very good experience. And so is this one. The environment on the sets is very friendly, which is necessary if you are doing a daily.
Q. Do you identify with the character that you are playing?
A. In some ways, yes, but not completely. Most of us have masks on our faces, and what we show the world is not who we really are. I think this aspect is what I most identify with.
Q. What would be the one thing in the television industry that you would like to change?
A. Nothing. Everything here is perfect.
Q. What do you think is the mantra for success in the entertainment industry?
A. There is no mantra for anything. One has to be willing to work hard, and the results will be positive. One also has to be honest about his work.
Q. You have appeared in films as well as television. Is there a difference between the two media?
A. Not really, except that television is more hectic. In films, you have more control over time.
Q. What other projects you are working on?
A. I am doing a show for Sony, a film with E Nivas, 'De Taali'. There are some other projects in the pipeline.
Q. Are you looking forward to the IPL?
A. I think it's a fantastic format in cricket. It is entertainment at its peak. I am especially looking forward to Shah Rukh's team playing. I am very excited, actually.
