Emraan Hashmi's career almost came to an end recently, or so he thought when he discovered that he could not move his right hand while working on a laptop. Paranoid, and justifiably so, he called his physiotherapist,
Narayan Kanal.
"Emraan feared that he had had a paralysis attack, and relaxed only aftet I examined him and found that nothing was wrong," says Dr Kanal. He adds, "This can happen to anyone. It is basically to do with the
posture.
One should rest his back in a straight position if he works for long hours on his computer, or else his joints can get blocked."
What next, Emraan? A liplock block?
The Bhatt scion is very ecstatic about the the Indian Premier League pehnomenon as well.
So, while the IPL is on its six-hitting way, actor Emraan Hashmi's cell hasn't stopped ringing. No, not from Aishwarya-hit Salman Khan or any of the IPL owners either. The calls and loads of SMSes have been begging
him for betting tips!
Admitted Emraan: "I've started getting calls and SMSes from all kinds of people asking if I'm taking bets for the IPL matches!
I think it's because I joked on a news channel saying that I've learnt so much
about bookmaking that I'm going to start taking in bets now."
But Emraan didn't think that the gullible Indian fans and wannabe fixers would start asking Emraan Hashmi, "Bhai, kya odds hain?"
Now that's a new innovative shot in the Twenty20 brand of cricket! With the IPL in top gear already, professional and amateur 'betters' are frantically trying to get in touch with Emraan.
Why Emraan, you may
ask. Didn't you know that the pocket-size hunk plays a bookie in his latest film, Jannat? Seriously, these Indian fans of Bollywood (and cricket) are too much! Or maybe 20 much.
