Goody claims she had an anxiety attack and was close to breaking point. She was sent to the Priory clinic and would not take off her coat the whole time she was there.
Mirror.co.uk quoted her as saying: 'It was the worst thing in the world. I sat on the bed and I did not take my coat off because I thought, 'If I take this off it means I've got to stay here'. So I had it on the whole time. I was on suicide watch because that's how bad I was.
'I can't speak for everybody - but I just think there are so many people out there who are hungry to live and want a life. I just think that it's a very selfish thing to do.'
She also spoke about the beating she endured from her mother saying, 'I don't hate my mum for beating me. I understand that she was frustrated and took it out on me.'
She claims she once was beaten so bad she could not even sit down at school.
Goody still defends herself saying she did not make the racist comments on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
Speaking about Shilpa on a TV show, she said, 'She was annoying - but it wasn't her background, it wasn't her colour. The last thing I want you to think is that I am a racist because that is one thing I'm not. I do have a bad anger problem.'
She says it is her temper and not racism that made her make those comments.
She added: 'I truly forgot her name. So I said 'Shilpa Poppadom'. I mean we call the French 'frogs' and would a Scottish man be offended if I said he's 'Jimmy Haggis'? I didn't mean it in a horrible way.'
