In an interview to us, Malaika had said that she is taking a break. Guess why? That is since Malaika's going the mum way. Yup, she is pregnant, and like every woman who is on the way to becoming a mother, proud of that as well. Recently, she was spotted in a party and guess what she was wearing? A black translucent top, while hubby Arbaaz walked around with her with a broad grin on his face.

The news is a good one indeed, although for Malaika fans, a long break just might be tough to handle. But never mind. She will be seen in Kaante in which she plays the role of a night club dancer in Los Angeles, and the track with which she performs is quite a sizzler. In the film, she has a small role too that many are waiting for. Others will always have the Chhaiya Chhaiya track to fall back on, if not the hazaar MTV promos in which she looks, yes, the coolest one.

We have been wondering what Malaika could do to surprise her fans. May be, she could wear the same translucent top and pose for the cover of a glamour magazine. Cindy Crawford went a step further, but we don't expect that in India or from Malaika, do we? Better still, she could take it easy for a while and have her first baby at, yes, the right time. We won't grudge no matter what she does, because she has been a great presence on the small and big screen for quite a while.
