Vishal Singh has no major regrets for his Star Plus show, Bhabhi winding up. "All good things must come to an end", He philosophies. Though he did admit that things beyond TRPs were responsible for the channel pulling the plug on this UTV presentation, they have their own strategies and formulations, which actor's are not privy to.

What next? "I am in talk with some people. Let's see what materialize", he replies. This cute guy who debuted years ago with Dekh Bhai Dekh is looking for interesting characters.

"At the same time, I am realistic enough to know that in the current family drama space, one cannot expect something out of the box either", Vishal tries to point out the true colour of his job.

Reality shows are all for money. Although Vishal prefers to do fictional characters, he would not mind trying his hand at reality formats as well.

"People who claim that one of the main attraction for doing a reality show is the chance to show their true self to the audiences, is hog wash. Everybody is jumping on the realty bandwagon, just for the big moolah, it brings in, " he asserts.

This ex-football and cricket player would prefer to do something adventurous such as Fear Factor. "Singing and dancing shows are not for me", he says.

Some good, some bad. Among the various roles, Vishal has done till date, he regards characters in Bhabhi, Dekho Magar Pyar Se and Dekh Bhai Dekh as his best.

"On the other hand, I have done a few comedy shows which did not turn out as they supposed to have been envisaged", he remembers regretfully.

Not yet arrived. Vishal has no qualms in conceded that he not yet "arrived" on the TV scenes. He says "It's okay for those who arrive quickly, disappear equally quickly as well.

I am not a part of the rat race. I am quite content doing good roles at my own terms." He further adds, "One of the main reasons for my being around for so long is my choice of characters and the fact that I am not overexposed." - Anil Merani
