Roadside Romeo to hit screen by Diwali

Bollywood's first ever 3D animated mainstream film ''Roadside Romeo'', visualised, executed and delivered by Tata group's Tech arm Tata Elxsi will hit the silver screen during Diwali this year.

Produced under the Yash Raj banner in association with the Walt Disney Motion Pictures, the film based on stray dogs is 95 per cent complete, Tata Elxsi creative Director Pankaj Khandpur told news persons here today. The input cost for the film is estimated to be around Rs 35 crore.

Actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have lent their voice to ''Romeo'' and ''Laila''respectively, the main characters of the film, which would be a complete Bollywood masala entertainer with all ingredients including -love, songs and action.

Mr Khandpur said Tata Elxsi would start work on two other 3D animated movies, for the same production partners, within the next six months.
