The 'Love Story-2050, ' set for release on July four, will depict the ''true picture'' of the Mumbai metropolis, including how it will look after more than four decades, claimed debutante hero of the Bollywood film Harman Baweja.

Speaking at a function to announce the association of Sun Mycrosystems, which provided the technology platform for the movie, produced and directed by Harman's father Harry Baweja, he claimed that the release was eagerly awaited throughout the country as it was the best sci-fi movie produced in India till date.

''We did our home work well as we have been working for nearly four years to put the theme on the screen. We toured 14 countries and 40 studios and shot more than 1, 200 special effect shots, thanks to the platform provided by Sun to make the futuristic Mumbai look real, '' he said.

He said the movie had been produced after consulting a number of builders to know their perception about Mumbai in 2050.

''The landmark locations of Mumbai like the India Gate, Taj Hotel and Flora Fountain will be presented as they are, but the viewers will see along with them a score of 200-storyed buildings, flying cars and other futuristic items, '' Harman, who pairs with red-haired Priyanka Chopra in the movie, said.

''Indian movie goers, especially the youth, have become more demanding in terms of their expectation from a Hindi movie and Love Story-2050 is one such attempt to cater to such an audience, '' Harman added.

For the versatile Boman Irani, who plays the role of the 'mad scientist, ' who creates the time machine to help the lovers travel to Mumbai of 2050, it was a 'rare occasion' to act in such a movie.

''Creating the time machine was really amazing. The Sun Mycrosystem technology helped us to do it. It was a long painful and arduous journey, but we all enjoyed it, '' he said.

Sun Mycrosystems Director K P Unnikrishnan said apart from being the technology partner, the Sun brand also appeared in the movie through some innovative in-film placements. ''This not only compliments the story line but also accentuates Sun's technology prowess, '' he added.

Mr Unnikrishanan said Sun had a history with Hollywood films having rendered technology and on-site assistance to Paramount Pictures for technically challenging 'Big Buck Bunny.'
