Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai... with Harry Baweja? The star maker who has made a number of romantic films has now changed tracks to follow suit like N Chandra's Style; a youth film. Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai is presented by Harry Baweja's Baweja Movies Pvt. Ltd. and produced by Pammi Baweja. Hansal Mehta has directed the film whereas the trio of Shankar Eshaan & Loy have composed the music.Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics for YKHRH. One begins to get the feel of youthness right from the cassette / CD covers. Lets see how does this Dil Chahta Hai combination of Javed Akhtar and Shankar Eshaan Loy work out this time for Harry Baweja.

The title song ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai' begins with a very interesting note, a music composition different from the lot with a use of good bass, trumpets and vocals by Shankar, Kunal, Nayan, Arnab. The lyric is fairly good and is catchy. Smoothly the music pumps up into a rock kinda music. It might catch up in one life saying ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai'.

Ooh Yeh!' is the next number in the track rendered by Mahalaxmi and K K. The ‘Ooh Yeh' dominates the lyric with a combination of piano and an okay lyric. K K has again put in his voice to suit the mood the song. The music is not too complicated and is quite soothing. At times the pitch goes up with K K and Mahalaxmi pulling their vocal chords.

Sowmya and Shaan have rendered the next number ‘Yeh Sama'. If you are a die-hard fan of Dil Chahta Hai and have the songs in your nervous system than you can easily catch similarity with DCH's ‘Kaisi hai yeh rut'. A good music system might enjoy the guitar in the low tones in the background constantly. A piece of flute and chorus can be heard here and there. Well, nothing extra ordinary with this song except for the music, which is typically of youth genre. The lyrics are very near to the DCH song.

The next number begins with a very techy, futuristic music. Shweta, Sunidhi and Gayatri render the number ‘Kuch Hum Bhi Pagal Hain'. This is surely a picked number from Channel V's latest with five new pop star, composed by Sandeep Chowta. One might get confused with this song and that one except for some pieces of music; typical of Shankar, Eshaan and Loy.

Next ‘Ooh Yeh' is an instrumental followed by the ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai', which again is a repeat. The next number is ‘Arzoo', this number begins with a good music piece. The lyric that follow is like a rap song. The song has vocals by Shankar and Babul. It definitely has interesting guitars playing in between to give a rock feel. ‘Yaar Apne Ghar Jao' is a typical youth song but without any sweetness of a song. This might be a situational teaser song amongst the young people. The vocals are rendered by Shaan, Shankar and Kunal.

Over all the music is new, one might find tints of Dil Chahta Hai which is obvious since the movie is for youth and songs composed by the same trio of Shankar Eshaan and Loy. Well to enjoy this genre of music one should have a reasonably good sound system too.
