Although he is known as a realist director making films on 'serious issues', writer- cum director Nagesh Kukunoor personally favours fairytale endings as he says they are far more appealing than negative ones.
Kukunoor is famous for his out-of-league films like 'Hyderabad Blues', 'Iqbal' and 'Dor' which talk about the importance of hope, love, friendship and inspiration in difficult times.
"I like happy endings in my films. Though I do not try to give any sort of message in them but if in the process of telling the story I am able to inspire someone, that's good, " he says.
