TV actor Mukesh Khanna is planning an animation series on his small screen superhero serial "Shaktimaan" and says it'll make the character immortal.

"The animation film on 'Shaktimaan' is expected to be out in one-and-a-half year, " Mukesh, who not only played the title role in it but also produced it, told.

"I was planning it for quite some time because an animation film makes a character immortal and I want to take 'Shaktimaan' to that level, " he added.

Mukesh, who became popular on small screen after playing Bhishma Pitamah in B.R. Chopra's epic "Mahabharat", said this project will be a big budget and that he will collaborate with some big company.

"An animation film can be easily dubbed in any language which makes it possible to reach to the international audience, " he added.

"Shaktimaan" hit the small screen in late 90s and was quite popular, especially among the children.
