Q. Were you a good student?
A. Yes, I was reasonably good in studies and scored 81% in tenth, which was good at our times.
Q. What was the worst popular trend when you were going to college?
A. I think it was the bell bottom kind of pants that came back from the 80's. That was the worst thing and I really hated them.
Q. What did you wanted to be when you grew up?
A. Being from the commerce stream I was interested in starting up some business but deep in my heart I also was thinking about an acting career. I got involved with my dad's hardware business at a very early age. I was handling it for him and at the same time I always did dramas in school and college to fulfill my dreams in acting.
Q. What is the craziest thing you ever did to let a gal notice you?
A. Actually I had to do things so that people don't notice me. As my height is 6 feet 2 inch and am pretty well built, so I easily got noticed by everyone.
Q. What was your fashion mantra when you were 18? What is it like now?
A. I think all along, my fashion has always been the same. It's about being extremely comfortable and feeling like a second skin whatever you are wearing. That has been my fashion mantra. I very rarely follow trends.
Q. What were your hobbies back then and now?
A. Well my hobbies at that time were sports and reading. As a student at that time I used to go to cyber café for surfing the net also. I think those were my big time hobbies. And now I have a cricket team of actors called Boxy Boyz and we keep playing matches.
Q. What rumours were people spreading about you then and now?
A. When I was young there were lots of rumours spreading around me. The one which I could never forget is the rumour which dealt with me been fatty. I was on a fatter side and worked out a lot during one of my summer holidays to loose wait.
Seeing me thin, rumours spread across the school that I have gone abroad to operate on my heavy weight. That was really silly. Now the media are always there making rumours about my irrelevant rifts with various production houses.
Q. What nick names did you have back then and now?
A. I did not have any nick names as such. But my family is used to calling me Mannu which they continue to call now also.
Q. Was Valentines Day important for you? What was your idea of dating back then?
A. As a kid when I grew up Valentine day was important. But very early in my life I realized that it's just like any other day to express love. I mean why express love only on a single day and leave the other 364 days.
Q. What did you worry about back then and now?
A. Well I guess I had to worry about my weight as I was growing fat and I was 127kilos at that time. I never worked out in my life.
I had to worry about loosing weight because I wanted to be an actor and rehearsed in front of the mirror. I did not have many female friends at that time. I said to myself that I would change things for me and I did it. Now I have to worry about my family as I am married.
Q. With which celebrity you wanted to go to an isolated island? What was your naughtiest fantasy with her?
A. As a kid I always wanted to go out with Salma Hayek. I have seen her on net, saw few of her films and I think even now she is very hot. My naughtiest fantasy than was to do a lot of things which I couldn't do due to my weight problem. - Sabir Rahman
