The upcoming Mani Ratnam project is getting more interesting day by day thanks to its unusual casting. The master filmmaker's new Hindi-Tamil billingual, tentatively titled Ravan appears to be a modern day Ramayan adaptation of sorts.

He has zeroed down on Aditya Panscholi to play the title role. Abhishek and Aishwarya are already there as the lead pair and now Govinda has been roped in too. It was being reported that Govinda would be playing Abhishek's brother in the film.

That makes him Laxman perhaps but inside sources have confirmed that his role is modelled on Hanuman!

He may be back to his old murky ways of troubling his makers and co-stars with his starry tantrums but Govinda has also managed to bag a very lucrative 3 film deal running into crores with a corporate giant.

Apart from that he also has films on hands with big filmmakers such as Subhash Ghai, Mira Nair and Abbas-Mustan. Perhaps thats the reason why he has started behaving like a super star already claim industrywalas!
