What do men do when they turn 40? Get on with life of course, albeit with a different agenda. But actors are of the never say die breed, right? Take Lucky Ali for instance. With Pooja Bhatt and Tanuja Chandra resurrecting his non-existent film career, the actor should have been eternally grateful to the ladies for their unstinted support during the making of their home production, Sur.
But the actor who, according to Chandra, has delivered a first-rate performance as the musician-guru with a streak of envy, is still full of grievances. "I want main protaganists` roles only. Sur is different but it`s not a regular movie," he was heard complaining.
The thing is his credentials as an actor were always questionable. Worse, he`s not getting any younger. Lucky no longer possesses the verve so much required for Bollywood masala films. So you see, to be a hero, if you are wanting in talent, zing, the agility and the body to match, nothing would work in your favour. Mere desire is not enough.
