Salman Khan may be a Muslim but he respects every single religion as is evident by his feelings expressed in regards to the same during his interviews and 10 Ka Dum episodes.
The painter in him also
displays his religion tolerance side through his paintings. Most of his paintings combine two religions together. Like his most famous painting which has the image of Jesus Christ along with a mosque.
But Salman also chooses to practise what he preaches. A source close to him revealed us more about it, "Salman is playing a Sikh character in Samir Karnik's Heroes. His character sports a turban in the film like
Sikhs do.
So involved was he with his turbaned Sikh character that he refrained himself from smoking whenever he was on the sets sporting the turban.
When his co-stars and director tried to find out
the reason, Salman told them Sikhs consider smoking unsociable and dirty. So it was out of his sheer respect for the community that he was not smoking when he had his turban on for the role of a Sikh."
Salman Khan's family is a symbol of National Integration. His dad, writer Salim Khan is married to a Maharashtrian, Hindu. His brother Sohail and Arbaaz have married a Hindu and a Christian respectively.
His
sister Alvira too has married a Hindu. No wonder Salman respects all the religions and millions of fans from all the religions!
