Q. How is your experience of working in a film like Phoonk?
A. It's truly great. I enjoyed working with all the co-actors and especially Ramuji. They all helped me a lot and I learned a lot from them.
Q. Children are generally found scared of spirits and black magic kind of things. But you portrayed the central character of a film like Phoonk. How did you find it?
A. I enjoyed it a lot. My mom helped me lot preparing myself for this character. Though it's a horror flick, there is no ghost in this movie.
It's looking most eerie because of the sound effects and camera angles. As you know, it's highly expected in a Ramuji film. No one can doubt about him being a genius.
Q. Your expressions look great in the promo of the flick. How did you prepare for those expressions?
A. All the credits go to my mother. I have learnt everything from my mom only. She scanned every scene and taught me how to make scary sounds and revolve eyeballs. She herself is a good actor, you know.
Q. Are you afraid of ghosts?
A. Yeah. I am really scared of those things. If I watch a horror flick then I have to have someone to accompany me in the bathroom or even at the time I brush my teeth. I ask my mom to keep the lights on otherwise I cannot sleep alone. I am so scared of ghosts.
Q. Which are the scary movies that you have watched till date?
A. I have watched Ramuji's Bhoot. I am still scared of that film, although I watched it few years back. Besides, I have watched Bhool Bhulaiyaa and English film Exorcist.
Q. Why did you agree on doing this film?
A. I was quite excited with the offer of the film. It's not only because the role was challenging but also because I had to do something different which I never experienced before.
There is a scene in this film where I fly up in the air till the ceiling of the room. Despite the action director's help, I was damn scared doing it.
I was scared that I should knock the ceiling if he applies little more power in pulling me up. But at the end, Ramuji's presence made everything alright for me.
Q. Was there any memorable moment during the shooting?
A. It was when Ramuji gifted me a laptop. He said that the laptop was for my performance.
Q. How was the first day at the shooting?
A. Very cool. I was really excited about working with Ramuji. My first scene was like I have to run and slip to fall. I did it wonderfully.
Q. My Friend Ganesha 2 is about to get released. You were in the part one of the film but part 2 is made without you. How do you feel about that?
A. I am not sad about that. Neither I am repentant. They required a little child and I am little aged for the role. At the same time I don't look like a boy anymore because of my long hairs and they needed a boy for the character. So, I couldn't do the role.
Q. You sometimes have enacted boy's character, too. Have you faced any difficulty doing it?
A. No. I never faced any difficulty acting as a boy. I enjoy working as both boy and girl. Actually I love to act, whatever the character be.
Q. Have you signed any other film?
A. Yeah, I have signed for ‘My Name Is 340' which is also under ‘One More Shot', the production house for ‘Phoonk'. Suryaprakash is directing that thriller.
Q. What do you enjoy the most – social films or thrillers?
A. I enjoy every genre of films. I already have told you that I like shooting, be it for social films or for thrillers.
