Smiles Randeep, "Well, let me just say that wait and watch for the film to arrive this Friday. Till then let the speculations go on. In any case, I don't think that there is anything like an original thought.
After all, every film is inspired in some way or other. There have been films around 'before and after' aspect of life and there will be more films like those in future too. So why point only at 'Ru-Ba-Ru'?"
Talking about his performance in 'Ru-Ba-Ru', Randeep admits that this is yet another intense performance from him even though the setting changes from violence (D, 'Risk') to romance here.
"Who says romance can't be intense", questions Randeep with a wink, "I would say that some of the most intense moments come from romance. In 'Ru-Ba-Ru', me and Shahana play a couple which has been in a live-in for two years now.
This is why the film begins from a point most end. It shows us a couple which takes each other for granted something which leads to conflicts from the word 'Go'."
The film's publicity describes 'Ru-Ba-Ru' as a romantic thriller. So how exactly does the thrill element come in?
"The underlining message of 'Ru-Ba-Ru' is that life is not just about chasing dreams and ambitions. That's because once you have reached the destination, what else is there to actually think of.
This couple too gets so much in life but one incident changes their entire outlook towards life. They get thinking that whether it is always so important to run behind something rather than catching hold of what's right there in front of you. This is where the entire thrill element comes in", explains Randeep.
"We have avoided taking a preachy route in the film but 'Ru-Ba-Ru' isn't frivolous either. It is not one of those light hearted frothy romantic comedies but it would definitely set one thinking about what he/she really feels is important in one's life and if it is worth chasing something at it's cost", concludes Randeep. - Joginder Tuteja
