A. Yeah, being an Indian, I have faith on lord Ganesha.
Q. Are you a regular visitor to "Siddhivinayak" on every Tuesday?
A. No, I am not a regular visitor to "Siddhivinayak".
Q. Ganapati pooja is going on. Do you worship Ganapati at home?
A. I have a Ganeshji in my temple. So I do pooja everyday whether it's a festival or not.
Q. What is your planning about celebrating ganapati puja this year?
A. Like every year we go to our friends houses and see the visharjan which is just beautiful.
Q. Have you been attached to Ganapati puja since childhood?
A. No, not really.
Q. Any special memory about ganapati puja?
A. No because I have not had it in my house. It is something that I have grown up with seeing in my friends' house, so no special memory.
Q. What type of celebration do you prefer - noisy celebration i.e. with music and sound etc, or simple and calm celebration in homely atmosphere?
A. I think the whole process of celebration has changed. Neither Holi is celebrated like it used to be nor Diwali. Now everyone is trying to give interview, to be on screen.
The reason to pray lord Ganesha has totally changed. Everything has become so fancy and even the idols are also made in such way. I think we have to go back to the old way where the basic aim of pooja can be regulated.
Q. What do you say about the pollution and noise, created in Mumbai during ganapati visarjan?
A. I want to say that it is not necessary to celebrate the festival with burning crackers and so much noise. Why can't we celebrate with calm and peace? I think we really have to do something where the main aim should be do pooja heartily. - Swati Dey
