Poor Preity Zinta. Because she is known to get friendly much too quickly, the girl had no option but to wish Aamir Khan well after her name was linked with the guy and she was held responsible by a section of the media for the differences between Aamir and his wife Reena. The truth, it seems, lies somewhere else. It is not Preity but Rani Mukherjee who Aamir seems to be close to these days. And to say the least, his wife Reena isn`t liking that one bit.

The friendship between Aamir and Rani goes back to the days of Vikram Bhatt`s Ghulam when the former was an established superstar and the latter a talented newcomer. The grapevine was full of stories about how close the two had become before Aamir decided to make Mela, became friendly with Twinkle who is now Mrs Akki, and Rani moved on in life to work on other projects. Then Twinkle found Akki, the two got married, and Aamir became single in the extra-marital sense once again. During the making of Lagaan, one European actress caught his fancy but that too did not last. Then Aamir and Rani met up, and what we hear is that instant fireworks took off once again.

When we last got to know of this, Aamir and Rani are very very thick and the latter is also supposed to work in his next home production. Two things worth talking about. Bechari Preity Zinta. Why the hell was she getting crucified for no rhyme or reason? Bechari Reena. Why on earth did her husband had to be so good-looking? We have no answers to either. Do you?
