Not many know this but Zain Khan had given the audition for ‘Taare Zameen Par' for the child's role which later shifted in the hands of ‘Darsheel Safari'. Unfortunately he got opted out.

We tried to get more of this stuff from Zain himself, but unfortunately he was unavailable for comments, but we did have a word with his dad.

Zain's dad did confirm that his son was opted out. We asked him the reason to which he replied, "They wanted someone less matured and more innocent. Zain was a bit over matured for that role."

He added saying, "Moreover they wanted much of make-up and stuffs and I didn't want Zain to apply so much of make-up. It could have proved harmful for his skin"
