The producer-director is trying his hard to make sure that the cast and crew of Acid Factory get the best. Sources reveal that the story of Acid Factory is all about fast cars and bikes, a hidden passion of Sanjay which he will get a chance to portray on screen.
"By now Sanjay has hired innumerable choppers, 18 massive trucks, snazziest sports cars, nothing less than Lamborghinis and Ferraris, speedboats" our source adds super bikes like Hayaboozas and Harley Davidson's, SUVs, yachts and stunts team to choreograph a never before seen action sequence. He has also made sure that the best of the team is hired for the Hollywood kind of stunts in the film.
According to sources he got a special involving ATV's (Four wheel motorcycles). A team was hired from South Africa and another was flown down from Hong Kong, even the pilots and drivers were called from Hong Kong and South Africa.
Sanjay has been forced to extend the shoot for another two weeks as the stunts have been extremely strenuous.
"That was the only way to do justice to the action sequences. He did not want the scenes to be done in a disorganized manner. But all this has left on line producer Salim exhausted. He had to constantly stop the traffic on the highway for every stunt scene. Acid Factory will be the first of its kind to show off such stunts and action sequences.
In all this Sanjay Gupta regrets the fact that he could not do Shyam Benegal's Chamki due to date problems and as his artists were not comfortable with a not so interesting story Chamki was put on hold.
Reliance Big Entertainment later restarted the film. However Sanjay Gupta also says that he always believed in the script and he has enormous respect for Mr.Benegal's work and regrets that he couldn't work with him and wishes him the best.
