If the story had to have such a tame end, why was so much fizz added to the controversial film Ek Chhoti Si Love Story? We are referring to Manisha Koirala`s print war against her director Shashilal Nair, where she lashed out at him and called him names, even at a time when the movie had made it to the theatres and the world had seen all that there was to be `seen`, in the four objectionable scenes which Koirala protested against.
Four weeks after the film`s release, Manisha has decided to call truce and is no longer blasting her one-time favourite director. On the contrary she is all praise for his `directorial abilities.` So the whole drama was indeed preplanned? But to be fair to Nair, he didn`t stoop below his dignity or ever spoke in a derogatory manner against his lead actress.
Poor Manisha, she neither could convince the film bodies about the protest she was so vociferously voicing nor could gain her fans` sympathy. If at all she masterminded the hangama along with Nair, to cash in on its `adult appeal`, all she has managed to generate is ill will among her colleagues and admirers, whatever small number of them is left anyway.
