Aamir Khan is back in circulation. At a press conference in New Delhi on Monday, director Ketan Mehta, writer Farrukh Dhondy and producer Bobby Bedi announced the revival of The Rising, a project that Mehta has nurtured for years, and Aamir will be plying the central character, freedom fighter Mangal Pandey.

While it is now known that John Matthew Mathan is not going to repeat his Sarfarosh lead actor in his next film, Aamir desrevedly bags the biggest projects goin. Apart From The Rising, the Lagaan star has also been penciled in to play a pivotal role in AB Corp`s next film.

In an interview to a monthly, Aamir did express the apprehension that popular expectations from him were going far too high. "People expect miracles from me and it`s very scary," he had stated. But those are the wages of being Aamir Khan!
