Raveena Tandon may have been nicknamed ‘Ravishing Ravs,' ‘Mast Mast' ‘Shaher Ki Ladki' but the Sindhi-Punjabi actress is quite an ice maiden in real life, and some of her standoffish attitude spills over in her reel life too, giving her producers hell at times.
Jackie Shroff was at the receiving end of Ms. Tandon's cold vibes on the sets of his home production Sandhya, a psychological thriller directed by Sangeeth Sivan. While filming a sizzling number for its climax in which the lead players, Tandon and Shroff, are expected to set the screen on fire, the heroine lay down (pun unintended) clear instructions – no lip-to-lip service. The good-hearted Shroff simply followed his her instructions and "understood his leading lady's problem" but the director remained unsatisfied – for obvious reasons. It was then that she lost her cool, "I am not going to do it, please. I don't want to end up the way Madhuri did in Dayawan or Lolo in Raja Hindustani."
Whatever be her grouse against an onscreen kiss, her opinion on other actresses getting a raw deal by going ahead with it, is too feeble a justification. Or is it that such scenes are too hot for her to handle? Maybe we just hit the nail on the head.
