Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed Saawariya, released last Diwali on 9th November worldwide. Now on its first anniversary the film shall be premiered on Television. Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om which released
along side Saawariya and was a much bigger hit was premiered months back on television.
Saawariya was Hollywood big studio, Sony Pictures' first Bollywood film, so naturally, the film is being premiered on Sony' movie channel, MAX. It will be telecasted on Sunday 9th November at 8 pm.
Saawariya was the acting debut film of stars kids, Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor and also starred Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee in small but pivotal roles.
Based on a famous novel White Nights, the
film told the story of Raj (Ranbir) who spreads happiness wherever he goes through his words and songs. When one night he comes across Sakina (Sonam), he falls head over heels in love with her.
Just
when he is about to confess his love she tells him that she has already given her heart to Imaan (Khan). How he struggles to win her heart and what eventually it all leads upto forms rest of the film. The film was famous
for Ranbir's famous towel dance.
In this song, his bare butt was revealed in the prints released abroad but edited in the sub-continent's released prints. We wonder if it shall be maintained in the TV version!
