The Bachchan-Karisma tie-up seems to be the most awaited celebration, undoubtedly with mega celebrations in the offing. Yet Karisma and Abhishek will always cherish the in-house celebration, stringed with little events, that actually paved the way for the grand declaration.

It was just a usual day when the blue-eyed Lolo dropped in at the Bachchan mansion, Jalsa, to chat up with Aby`s baby. A few romantic whisperings and Abhishek popped the question to an all-too-obliging Karisma, his sweetheart of five years.The excited duo rushed out of the room to break the news to mama Jaya, who was sweating at the treadmill. The huffing-panting Jaya immediately captured the couple on the camera. Then, they told the senior Bachchan, who was working away on the computer. Abhishek then slipped a ring on Lolo`s finger, a souvenir he had been carrying for quite some time now.

Next, Jaya made a lightning call to her samdhan Babita, (who was with daughter Kareena in New Zealand for the shooting of Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon), shaking her out from deep slumber...... next morning the whole world knew!
