Paresh Rawal is not an actor who can be easily impressed but he was certainly very impressed by Dibakar Bannerji who is directing him in Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye.

Paresh Rawal plays a typical Delhite in Oye Lucky. His character in the film has overt mannerisms and dressing sense of a typical Punjabi guy from Delhi.

Director Dibakar Bannerji i had not only visualized his mannerisms but is costumes to the T. So when Paresh Rawal came to shooting on the first day, he expected normal costume but he was very surprised to see the detailing in colours, texture and the kind of cuts that the costume department had undertaken.

He was so impressed that the work of the costume department and the director's vision that he personally applauded each person saying that it was the first time he actually felt like he was the character he was portraying in the film.

Director Dibakar Baneerjee recalls the incident and laughs, "Well we were only doing our job correctly. Frankly speaking re really taken aback when a senior actor like Pareshji congratulated each and every person involved in his costume department. We didn't expect it.

We always thought he was a very serious person at heart. But it was a great experience for me working with a talented actor like him.".
