Shekhar Suman, known for his wit and wry humour as seen in his celebrity-based show on television, `Movers And Shakers` and now `Simply Shekhar`, put up a poor show this time.It is an acknowledged fact that the once ravishing actress Parveen Babi is now suffering from a mental ailment. As a result, the lady has often been making bizarre accusations at the legal system and her co-stars.
Off and on, the media has sensationally reported her insinuations, which the world knows, have no logical basis. Wonder what made Shekhar take this voyeuristic delight in shooting a media-avoiding Babi and uncovering her eccentricities, which were evident in her garish red lipstick spilling much out of her lipline, a guileless, child-like smile showing her absent teeth and in her perpetual tirade against Amitabh Bachchan.
Sure, Shekhar who himself has been an actor, should have been sensitive to an artiste who has not only passed her prime but is also past all good sense. Is it that Shekhar`s greed for TRPs that made him resort to this gimmick?
