We all know of Farhan Akhtar's acting prowess thanks to his recent film, Rock On!! But that doesn't stop him from revisiting his first love, direction.

Although Farhan is hosting a TV show called 'Oye...It's Friday!' he continues to offer tidbits about direction to his crew members. He admitted to having helped out the crew members out of the tight spot that they were having.

A crew member disclosed how helpful and supportive Farhan had been on the sets. He taught the crew members things like the placement of the camera to setting of the lights. His Bollywood experience was an advantage in the television industry.

The crew was surprised to see how down-to-earth Farhan was. While they had expected him to throw tantrums, he came up and started assisting the members before the shooting had even begun. Sources say he was extremely excited to be working on the sets and went about in a cheery fashion.

Farhan also added that he would like making something he would want to watch himself. 'Oye...It's Friday!' pulled Farhan towards itself because it was so unconventional and because he wanted to do different type of things and not get repetitive.

Due to the current strike in the industry, the show's shooting has been stalled. It is expected to come on air next month on NDTV Imagine.
