It takes a lot to goad him into doing a project, no matter what the storyline and the supporting cast is like.So, it was with a pinch of salt that one took the news of the moody Akshaye Khanna giving his nod to Raj Kumar Santoshi`s film titled Khakee. Calls to the Khanna household remained unanswered till Santoshi himself reconfirmed the news.

The film based on the much-maligned police officers will feature male actors predominantly.Amitabh Bachchan has specially recommended Akshaye, who had earlier turned down Kaante because the role failed to excite him. Incidentally the Big B and wife Jaya are very impressed by Khanna junior`s abilities.With ten releases to his credit, his name had figured in at least twenty other films which were originally offered to him but had him replaced by other actors due to his indecisive ways. For him the reason has been a foregone conclusion: No character was exciting enough.

A word of advice for the actor: Your desire to remain exclusive is appreciated. Since it is understood you`ll never go for overkill, how about some more appearances, even if the roles don`t `excite` you enough?
