After the recent terror attacks on the city, we surely need some light hearted cinema this month. This December, with the much anticipated Ghajini there is another film vying for attention and that is Jumbo.

The film which is directed by Kompin Kemgumnird, is the story about a baby elephant named Khan Kluay who wanders away from his mother and eventually becomes the war elephant. Let's take a look at the characters which will be seen in this animation film.

Jumbo: The main character in the film which has been given the voice of Akshay Kumar is the Warrior. This little elephant in his childhood is pretty curious about his father and his whereabouts as he is never around.

Later on he leaves the heard and embarks on a momentous and adventure filled saga only to culminate in him becoming the royal war elephant for the king.

Sonia: Accompanying Jumbo on his journey is the pretty, cheerful, young female elephant Sonia. The voice for this character has been done by Lara Dutta. In the film, Jumbo is initially angry with her as he constantly believes her to be a trickster. However, his relationship with her changes as the two spend time with each other.

Dildaar: Adding spice to this journey and becoming his partner is the messenger from the army, Dildaar.

Rajpal Yadav has lent his vocals to give life to this talkative, funny, silly, self-absorbed yet highly opinionated bird. Throughout the film, Dildaar is like a nanny constantly fussing over and giving his advice to Jumbo.

Devi: The ever loving part of Jumbo's mother is Dimple Kapadia, Devi. This mother elephant like all mothers is highly protective and loving of her young one Jumbo. She is the embodiment of pure love towards her kin. However, she eventually can't stand in the way of Jumbo making his destiny.

The Gang: The gang is nothing but a bunch of unruly brats who always like to play rough; they are disobedient and are forever getting into trouble. Wherever they go, mayhem and mess soon follow.

Bhagtavar: Voiced by the Bad man Gulshan Grover, Bhagtavar is of course the villain. He is the royal elephant of the opposing army. Besides this he is the one who killed Jumbo's father. Throughout the film he represents the fear that Jumbo has to overcome.
