This is for the 1st time in history of Bollywood where a leading Actor gives his own lavish house for the shoot just as courtesy, Vinod Khanna showed very kind courtesy to M/s 4th Dimension Films by allowing them to shoot the film DOWN TOWN's shoot at his lavish Malabar Hill residence.

Film DOWN TOWN stars debutante Akhil Rajendra opposite Smilie Suri, Vinod Khanna & Rati Agnihotri. Vinod Khanna liked the film DOWNTOWN's subject & story line as it's an emotional story of father & son's relationship where tinsel town of Mumbai is the backdrop of the film.

The film directed by Andalib Majrooh Sultanpuri and having music by Sanjeev-Darshan, started in Mumbai from 12 Dec., 2008 at various locations.

It was an overwhelming & a life time experience for actor Akhil Rajendra who admires Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as his source of inspiration & a one man institute of acting, gets the SMS from Mr. Bachchan itself just before his 1st shot of his debut film, Entire unit got touched and got full charged with energy courtesy of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan who gave his good wishes to Akhil.
