Well, his unpunctual nature and his unprofessional ways might have a lot to do with it. The producers and co –stars of most of his under production films are not happy about his highhanded ways.
It seems, now one time jodidar Sanjay Dutt (they delivered hits like 'Jodi Number 1' and 'Haseena Man Jayegi') also doesn't want to stand by him.
So thanks to Sanju, Govinda's home production, 'Shaadi Banayega', which was supposed to re launch his banner, is stuck. Sanju Baba has reportedly happily walked out of the project which was expected to start towards the end of the year
Dharam Oberoi who looks after Dutt's production house has said, "I know the news has been doing the rounds but Sanju had not given the nod to this project.
I won't deny that they approached us for the film and wanted Sanju's dates this year. It's impossible, he's leaving for the Bahamas for 'Blue' and after that he'll be going to Mauritius for 'Chatur Singh.
Then there's GS Entertainment's 'Lamha'. Since he's a professional, he can't back out of the projects to which he has already committed and taken money for. He doesn't doesn't even have dates for his own banner which he is planning to revive."
He also diplomatically adds that Govinda is a dear friend and Sanju will always be there for him and work in his films but only in the future.
On the other hand, the film's debutant director Hadi Ali Abrar sings a totally different tune.
He's said, "We will be recording songs soon. I have confirmations from both Govinda and Sanjay. We're working out on the combination dates of the other actors."
Well, looks like Govinda has instructed his colleagues and his friends to say anything and everything to save face.
