Gulshan Grover the bad man of Bollywood is excited about lending his voice for his first animated venture Jumbo. The actor says that it has been a trend in the West but this will be the first time he will be experimenting anything of this sort here in India.

About how Jumbo fell in his lap, Grover tells us, "Akshay is a very good friend and when he told me about the film I was very excited. I have seen many Hollywood stars doing it in the west.

Moreover, I have great respect for percept picture. Their cinema is just not run of the mill types. They have always worked on different projects and so is Jumbo very different"

About his role, Gulshan says, "I play the bad man, no actually the bad elephant. Like always Akshay is the hero and I play the villain" he laughs and says.

"No one can imagine me in a positive role. And my voice identifies me so I'm sure people will like that. I hope they appreciate it"

Gulshan says dubbing with Akshay was the best experience he ever had. "We happened to record together and he made me feel very comfortable. He is very professional and fun to work with.

He kept on telling me that the nastier you get better for the character. And this way I would get motivated to sound more wicked and like an evil" says Grover.

Gulshan says that lending voice to an animated character was not an easy job. "Oh! It is very difficult. It is very challenging too because out here you are only acting through your voice. One has to modulate the voice very carefully. I hope my voice has fit it well with the character" he says.

But Gulshan Grover says that it was a lovely experience. "It was lovely. The creative team I was working with was young, vibrant and talented. This kept the recording atmosphere full of life" he informs.

Though Jumbo is an animated venture the film has a lot of values. "The film does talk about family, togetherness, integrity...it is about love for your family. You see... because of the kind of roles I play...

I have this gruesome image and so people think I'm this cold person who would never get affected by anything. But the fact is I'm very emotional. I completely believe in these values.

I'm sure when I sit and watch this film along with kids and everyone. I will be the first one to cry" he reveals.

What is the moral of the story according to you? The moral is that, truth always triumphs. But let me add that this film is not just for kids. It is a complete family flick. The entire family should watch the films. It is very touching. The other animation flick that I really enjoyed was lion king" he says.
