The producer of Bollywood blockbuster Nitin Keni has signed N. Chandra to direct a movie on the life and times of Indira Gandhi. The title role was originally offered to the talented Tabu, but eventually landed on the lap of Manisha Koirala, who will start shooting for the film earlier next year.
The story will be told through flash backs and essays Indira Gandhi`s life, including her death 18 years ago. Talks are currently taking place with other major Bollywood stars for other roles in the film. Hridaynath Mangeshkar will compose the soundtrack of the film.
