Dimple Kapadia has been away from the limelight for long now, but now she is back with the animated venture Jumbo also featuring the voice of her son-in-law, Akshay Kumar. Excited about lending her voice to an animated character for the first time, the veteran actress tells us that it was her grandson who really insisted on her lending the voice.

"I could not refuse Aarav and that is how I ended up giving my voice. He has watched me dubbing many times and he insisted on it" says Dimple.

Dimple has lent her voice to the mother elephant of Jumbo. "I play the mother of Jumbo in the film. She is extremely protective and caring about her child. It is a very endearing character surprisingly my voice suited the character since I have hoarse voice" she laughs and adds

Jumbo says Dimple reminds her so much about her family. "Also all the characters are so endearing. Jumbo is a very sweet, an emotional story... it is about family love and togetherness.

In fact the mother of jumbo is so much like me. I have been personally very protective about my daughters and now I'm for Aarav. I have a tendency act as a shield for them against all the possible odds in life.

I understand that it is good to leave your children and allow them to face the world themselves... I did realize that in life ... But then somewhere down I have never been able to be so relaxed... I end up being like this... a little pain to them is like death for me" she reveals.

The actress says that the film is special to her and close to her heart "It gave me the opportunity to play mother to my own son in law" she adds.

Lastly we ask her views about Akshay as an actor? "He is fantabulous. He has grown leaps and bounds over the years ... In fact he is growing constantly with each of his films. I adore him a lot as an actor and enjoy watching all his films" she concludes.
