According to local Gujarati publications and cable channels, an advocate has sent the club a legal notice and threatened to drag Shradha to court. Unconfirmed sources said that some local Gujarati Womens' organizations expressed their displeasure at the 'scintillating' performance and the costumes worn by Shradha.
While Shradha Sharma was unavailable for comment, her Media and Business Manager Flynn Remedios said that neither were they aware of any such 'protest', nor have they received any legal notice. "I am not aware of what you are talking about, " he said.
Shradha Sharma was signed on by Country Club along with actresses Mallika Sherawat, Ameesha Patel, Aarti Chabria, Riya Sen, Kim Sharma, Rakhi Sawant and Shefali Zariwala.
She had created five special acts for this event and rehearsed for about 20 days prior to the event. In fact, while rehearsing, she fainted due to exhaustion just a few hours before the event, but did not cancel her performance.
The Country Club at Baroda hosted an exclusive mega bash attended by approximately 2000 persons which was a big hit among the local youth.
After the performance was over, hundreds of men and women lined up for photographs and autographs with Shradha who spent about an hour obliging her well-wishers. A unique factor was that young girls in Baroda outnumbered the men lining up for group photographs.
