Their`s is a family cosmopolitan. The erstwhile writer Salim Khan (father of actor Salman Khan), a Muslim, married a Hindu and named her Salma. The couple were blessed with boys Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail and daughters Alvira and Arpita (adopted). Years later, when Salim pronounced the golden girl of Hindi cinema, Helen Richardson, as his second wife, he had brought home a devout Christian.
Son Sohail married a Maharashtrian Hindu Seema and Arbaaz married the sultry model and actress Malaika, part-Hindu-part-Catholic. Arbaaz, who recently turned father of a bonny Khan, has taken after his `liberal father,` in that a replica of Virgin Mary is known to grace his suburban home. His wife Malaika, who once said that she wished her child to have,`Arbaaz`s clear eyes,` has always been keen to baptise their baby.
Respecting his wife`s wishes, Arbaaz with his family will soon be naming their son Arhaan at a baptism ceremony at a suburban church. Guess who will play godfather? Bade Chacha Sallu, of course (without fairy godmother Aishwarya Rai). And what will he wish the kiddo Khan? Oodles of muscles and mush, perhaps!
