Criticism for his work hasn't really troubled him.

Looks like many years of experience in the industry is helping him big time.

Unlike most Indians he doesn't vouch for 'Slumdog Millionaire' to shine at the Oscars.

Instead, he has been voting for Brad Pitt-starrer The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

He also feels that Indian films don't have to depend on Western approval. The Oscars are not the ultimate judges for Indian films and for him the National awards and the janta verdict holds far greater significance.
