He first made his appearance on the sliver screen as an extra dancer in the 1999 film Taal, and almost four years later he actually made a super-duper debut with the film Ishq Vishk.

From then on, there was no stopping this phenomenon as he quickly ascended the rungs of the ladder in B-Town.

With his 2007 smash hit Jab We Met, this lad shot to the top winning the hearts of the audience and critics alike. He is none other than teen heartthrob Shahid Kapoor.

Today is an extra special day for this young star, with miles more to come as he turns a year older.

Recently he was chosen as the brand ambassador for a leading music system brand and if the promos of his forthcoming film Kaminey are anything to go by, he seems ready to win the audiences' hearts all over again.
