Whoever said that lack of good breeding affects chances of going up in life couldn't have got it more wrong. If anything, attitude and chutzpah obviously gets you more results than a straightforward life. At least that's what is happening with Kareena Kapoor's career chart. She may be rubbing a lot of directors and colleagues the wrong way with her blow hot, blow cold temperament but it has not affected her landing plum roles in their projects.
Even Sanjay Leela Bhansali with whom Bebo had fallen out because he had preferred Ash over her for Paro's role in his magnum opus Devdas, is reportedly back to singing her praises as an actress and promised her a role in his next project. As things stand, Bhansali and Bebo have had a couple of meetings and once the euphoria (read suspense) over Devdas' official entry to the Oscars is over, he is likely come up with details of his next film.
Even someone like a Deepa Mehta who needn't kow-tow to Bebo`s tantrums calls her "very sweet" and says that she "would love to work with her." Is this what brash behaviour rewards you with, eventually? Obviously, loads of attitude is translated into acceptable norms in Bollywood. If only professionalism could stand its ground as well in this murky scenario.
