Karisma Kapoor refused to be laid down (or cowed down) when a Hollywood actor Brad Pit asked her to come for a screen test. Actually it so happened that Gurinder Chadda was working in London on an Indian version of Jane Austen's classic.

And Pit agreed to cast Karisma in the movie but with a rider that she need to first clear screen test as he had not seen any of her movies. This put Karisma off ! She declared, hell with it...I am not interested.
