Ash is in the high. She has won all the critical acclaim for her dazzling performance in Devdas. This is time for her to glean all the awards for her winning performance. At certain Awards Nite last week you would have noticed the jodi no. 1 of the evening - Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. The duo, for all their proposed differences arising out Ash being chucked out of SRK's latest production, faced the cameras with amazing panache, and looked like they were made for each other – figuratively speaking, of course. But the easy camaraderie does not belie the fact that Ash does bear a grouse against SRK for throwing her out of his film, telling her that "it has been shelved."

In an exclusive to a film glossy Ash admitted to being "too giving" in her relationship with the hot-headed Khan – Salman in this case – and because of whom she was dropped. In the same breath she also mentions that, "If I get down to talking, it would shake the foundations of a lot of people." Because whether either of the Khans likes it or not Ash has been happening the last one year – Devdas, the Oscar entry, her home production, her violent break up with Salman, her Hollywood forays et al. And if that isn't something to write home about what is?

But the actress is forlorn and lost when she says, "I got to see the real faces of many people. And when one has to acknowledge the reality of things, it can be very painful." She is obviously hurt by someone she thought was a friend, Shahrukh, who got her "unjustifiably ousted" from his home production after lying to her. But the silver lining is that there are at least half a dozen films, including Gurinder Chadha`s Bride And Prejudice on the anvil, and who knows which of them will fetch some more coveted trophies for you, Ash.
