Flying high following the box office success of her latest production, Pooja feels vindicated. "My decision to make Jism was instinctive and my faith in the project has paid off," says the actress-turned-producer.
Pooja counters the accusation that Jism is an erotic film that exploits sex with an eye on the box office. She asserts that the film "redefines love". "What has been shown for years is hackneyed and apologetic. In Jism we have tried to define love in today`s context and in today`s language," says Pooja. Jism is in the news as much for its provocative storyline as for the no-holds-barred portrayal of the female protagonist by Bipasha Basu. "I chose Bipasha because she is a very good actress who is professional to the core," says Pooja.
"When my father showed the script of Jism to me for the first time I immediately decided to do a film because it struck a chord immediately," she reveals. Asked why she didn`t direct the film herself, she says:"Not now. I have not decided yet to turn a director, but who knows what is in store in the future."
