Uttaran’s kids Ichcha and Tapasya spread cheer in Dharavi

What do you get to see when a horde of 20 odd giggly kids meet a TV star? A lot of cheer and big toothy smiles! The air was festive with joy all around when Ichcha and Tapasya, leading child artistes from the show ‘Uttaran' on COLORS went to meet their little fans from Dharavi.

COLORS had organised a special community viewing of three prime time shows – Balika Vadhu, Uttaran and Jai Shri Krishna a day before.

Followed by a quiz was organised on these shows. 10 children who gave the correct answers were selected and joined 10 others kids for an opportunity to meet the little TV stars. A fun filled evening with lots of laughter, fun and games; the Dharavi children were extremely excited to meet the two little leading ladies from the show.

Speaking about the experience little Ichcha, who plays the role of a maid's daughter in the show Uttaran said, "It is so much fun here. They all want to talk to me and play with me. I am happy to have made so many new friends today.

They are children just like Tapasya and Ichcha. And Like Ichcha they have big dreams and aspirations. I feel like I'm meeting so many Ichchas today!"

Adding to this, Tapasya said, "It is so nice to see so many people who have come to meet us. It makes very happy to know that they like Uttaran and the roles we both play. These children are so much fun to talk to. I hope I get to meet them and many more friends like them again. This is a wonderful experience."

All the residents of Dharavi assembled on the streets to get a glimpse of their favourite girls from their favourite show on television. The excitement of the crowd knew no bounds when Ichcha and Tapasya spoke to all of them.
