Baby Umrao jaan of chhote miyan fame is all set to make her new identity on television. Aayesha Kaduskar is essaying the role of young Rani Laxmi Bai in her forthcoming serial ‘Jhansi ki Rani'.

As Rani Laxmi Bai is well known personality in the Indian history it becomes rather challenging for the girl. Nevertheless baby Aayesha have done all her homework to beat them all. She underwent training in horse riding and sword fighting.

Besides sports Aayesha is also happily donning malkham outfit and the signature accessory safa on her forehead. "She is not so girlish so I don't have to wear much of accessory. At times she wears anarkali type of dress," explains Aayesha.

Aayesha considers the serial as great learning experience and now she knows the brave empress closely. So we decided to quiz her about her onscreen character but unstoppable Aayesha goes on.

"Her real name was Manikarnika. I am not as brave as she was but I and Rani Laxmi Bai have one thing in common - ‘Manu' our pet name," she chuckles.

"She had mastered the sports like horse riding and sword fighting at the age of 8. Her mother died when she was eight and then her father Moropanth brought her up," she rattles.

Aayesha got little confused here; Manu lost her mother when she was four. "Later she was taken to Bajiroa Peshwaas place because her father was minister there. She was brought up with Bajirao's son," adds not so confident Aayesha.

Replicating the character of brave empress for the serial she has discovered several astonishing facts of her life.

"It came as shock to me that she never cried when her mother died, nor when her father passed away but she cried when her library was burnt," reveals Aayesha. "She use to make different types of arrows on her own," informs Aayesha.

Not bad As an actor Aayesha is clear and would definitely do justice to the role. As far as her general knowledge is concerned, she will pick up as the show progresses.
